Ingredients

  • Oreo Cookies
  • Chocolate or vanilla cake mix
  • Eggs
  • Unsalted butter
  • Whole milk
  • Heavy cream
  • Powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a large bowl, combine your cake mix, eggs, melted butter, and milk. Mix until smooth and well blended.
  3. Gently fold in about 1 to 1.5 cups of crushed Oreo cookies into your cake batter.
  4. Evenly distribute the batter into the prepared cake pans. Smooth the tops with a spatula.
  5. Place the pans in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  6. In a mixing bowl, beat together the heavy cream and softened butter until fluffy. Gradually add powdered sugar, then fold in crushed Oreos to create a creamy Oreo frosting.
  7. Once the cakes are completely cool, place one layer on a serving plate. Spread a generous amount of Oreo frosting on top, then place the second cake layer on top. Frost the top and sides of the cake with the remaining Oreo frosting.
  8. For an extra touch, you can top the cake with whole Oreo cookies or additional crushed Oreos for a beautiful presentation.
  9. Let the cake chill in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes before slicing.
