- 8 ounces of softened cream cheese
- 1 cup of sour cream
- 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup of fried pickles, chopped
- 2–3 fresh jalapeños, finely chopped (seeds removed for less heat) or 1/4 cup pickled jalapeños
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon of onion powder
- a pinch of cayenne pepper
- hot sauce to taste
- In a large mixing bowl, combine 8 ounces of softened cream cheese, 1 cup of sour cream, and 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese. Use a hand mixer or a spatula to blend until smooth and creamy.
- Chop about 1 cup of fried pickles into small pieces and fold them into the creamy mixture.
- If you're using fresh jalapeños, finely chop 2-3 jalapeños (seeds removed for less heat) and stir them into the dip. For pickled jalapeños, about 1/4 cup is perfect.
- Sprinkle in 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1 teaspoon of onion powder, and a pinch of cayenne pepper. Drizzle in your desired amount of hot sauce. Mix everything until well combined.
- Taste your dip at this stage. Adjust the heat with more hot sauce or jalapeños if you like it spicy!
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
- After chilling, give the dip a good stir and transfer it to a serving bowl. Garnish with extra chopped jalapeños, some fried pickles on top, or a sprinkle of fresh herbs like parsley or dill.
