    • Basil leaves
    • Rosemary sprigs
    • Thyme sprigs
  • 12 tablespoons of honey or agave syrup (optional)
  • Ice cubes (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Gather all your ingredients. Having a variety of fruits and herbs allows for creative combinations.
  2. Wash all fruits and herbs thoroughly under cold running water. Rinse and pat dry with a clean kitchen towel.
  3. Slice the fruits:
    • Citrus fruits (lemons, limes, oranges) into thin rounds.
    • Strawberries into halves or quarters.
    • Cucumbers into rounds or sticks.
    • Kiwi into rounds after peeling.
  4. Bruise the herbs gently by pressing them with the back of a spoon or your fingers to release their essential oils.
  5. In a large pitcher or jar, layer the sliced fruits at the bottom and add the bruised herbs on top.
  6. Pour the filtered water over the fruits and herbs, filling the pitcher to the top. Add honey or agave syrup if desired.
  7. Stir gently with a spoon to mix everything together.
  8. Cover the pitcher with a lid or plastic wrap to keep flavors concentrated.
  9. Place the pitcher in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or overnight for a more intense flavor.
  10. After infusion, give the water a gentle stir and taste to adjust sweetness or flavors.
  11. Fill a glass with ice cubes.
  12. Pour the infused water over the ice, including some fruit and herb pieces for presentation.
  13. Optionally, garnish with a sprig of fresh herbs for an elegant touch.
