This Stuffed Mushroom Dip is a delightful twist on the classic stuffed mushrooms, combining creamy cheese, fresh herbs, and tender mushrooms into a rich, flavorful dip. Perfect for gatherings or cozy nights in, it’s sure to impress your guests!

Ingredients

  • Large cremini or button mushrooms
  • Cream cheese
  • Shredded mozzarella
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Ground beef or chosen protein (crumbled sausage, cooked chicken, turkey, or finely chopped spinach/artichokes)
  • Garlic powder
  • Onion powder
  • Dried herbs (thyme or oregano)
  • Olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Clean the mushrooms gently with a damp cloth. Remove the stems and finely chop them, keeping the caps intact for stuffing.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, add a drizzle of olive oil. Sauté the chopped mushroom stems for about 3-4 minutes until softened. Add in your ground beef (or chosen protein) and cook until browned. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, and any herbs you like.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked mushroom stem mixture with cream cheese, shredded mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese. Stir until everything is well combined. Taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary.
  5. Take each mushroom cap and fill it generously with the creamy mixture. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, ensuring they are spaced out to allow for even cooking.
  6. Pop the stuffed mushrooms in the oven and bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until the tops are golden and the cheese is bubbling.
  7. Once they are done, remove the mushrooms from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.
