Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 Puff Pastry Sheets
  • 1/4 to 1/3 cup Pizza Sauce
  • 1.5 cups Shredded Low-Moisture Mozzarella Cheese
  • 1/2 Red Bell Pepper, diced very finely
  • 1/2 Green Bell Pepper, diced very finely
  • Mini Pepperoni or Sliced Pepperoni, cut into quarters
  • Cooked Beef Crumbles (optional)
  • Fresh Basil or Parsley, finely chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line two large baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll one sheet of thawed puff pastry onto a lightly floured surface or directly onto one of the prepared baking sheets. If stiff, let it sit for a minute or two, and roll it out slightly more if needed.
  3. Spread about 1/4 to 1/3 cup of pizza sauce evenly over the puff pastry, leaving a small border around the edges.
  4. Sprinkle about half of the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce evenly.
  5. Scatter half of the finely diced red bell pepper, green bell pepper, mini pepperoni, and cooked beef crumbles (if using) over the cheese.
  6. Cut the pastry into small squares, typically about 1.5 to 2 inches, and transfer them to the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each one.
  7. Repeat the process with the second sheet of puff pastry and the remaining ingredients, placing those bites on the second baking sheet.
  8. Bake for about 12-18 minutes, or until the puff pastry is golden brown and puffed up, and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Let them cool for a minute or two before transferring to a serving platter. Sprinkle with chopped basil or parsley before serving.
