Enjoy a refreshing Blood Orange Raspberry Mojito that combines zesty blood orange juice, sweet raspberries, and aromatic mint. Perfect for warm days, this vibrant cocktail is easy to make and ideal for festive gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 blood orange, juiced
  • 1/2 cup fresh raspberries
  • 10 fresh mint leaves, plus extra for garnish
  • 2 tablespoons sugar (or to taste)
  • 1/2 cup white rum
  • 1/4 cup soda water (or more to taste)
  • Ice cubes
  • Blood orange slices, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Wash the fresh raspberries and mint leaves under cold water and gently pat them dry.
  2. Cut the blood orange in half and juice it, straining to remove seeds or pulp if desired.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the raspberries and sugar, mashing them gently with a fork or muddler to create a sweet raspberry puree.
  4. In a sturdy glass or cocktail shaker, add the mint leaves and gently muddle them to release their oils.
  5. Add the raspberry puree to the muddled mint and stir gently to combine.
  6. Pour in the blood orange juice and white rum, stirring well to mix all ingredients.
  7. Fill the glass with ice cubes (crushed ice is recommended for a refreshing touch).
  8. Top off with soda water, adjusting the amount to your taste preference. Stir gently to combine.
  9. Garnish with fresh mint leaves and a slice of blood orange on the rim of the glass.
  10. Serve immediately with a straw or stirring stick and enjoy the refreshing flavors.

Notes

  • For a larger batch, multiply the ingredients and prepare the base in a pitcher, adding soda water just before serving.
  • For a non-alcoholic version, replace the white rum with additional soda water or ginger ale.
  • Feel free to experiment with other fruits like strawberries or blueberries for different flavor profiles.
  • Adjust sweetness by reducing sugar or using a natural sweetener like agave syrup or honey.
  • Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor and store leftover mint in water in the fridge.
